Majority Stake
A majority stake represents more than half of the equity or voting rights. The decisions it allows depend on voting rights, legal structure, and shareholder agreements.
The rights attached to a stake are central to its value. A voting majority can give the holder influence over management, while certain decisions may require a qualified majority or additional consent.
A stake’s value cannot always be determined simply by applying its ownership percentage to the total equity value. Control rights, transfer restrictions, and shareholder agreements require separate assessment. The calculator estimates the value of all shares and does not value these individual rights.
